‘Really enjoyable week in Cleveland.  I have stayed with the same family for the last few years now so it’s kind of home away from home which is nice!
First round I had a good match with Joshna. She played really well and really took the game to me. I got in front of her in the 3rd and 4th which made the difference.

The Quarter-Finals was a good match against Nour El Sherbini! Having played her for the first time in the world team finals winning 3-2 I knew it could be a tough match!
Got my game plan sorted and I managed to implement it well and was really pleased to win 3-0 and I felt sharp during the match!

Semi-Finals  v Raneem was tough and she was on form and playing well! The first two games were 9-9 so really I could have gone 2-0 up! She played the big points well and going 2-0 up she grew in confidence and it was a hard ask then! I don’t think I got my game plan right and was too passive and didn’t attack enough when I should have! A good one to learn from and makes me more determined to get it right next time!
Some positives to take away from this event and some clear things to work on as well!
Am heading home now to get ready for our British nationals staring next week on the 14th February which I look forward to playing every year!’
