Sorry for the delay in news, someone hacked my website!!!!!! All sorted now!
After New Zealand i had about ten days at home recovering and getting back into some training then it was off to Kuala Lumpur for the Malaysian Open which was a World Series event.
Was pleased to get my first ever win against Natalie Grinham in the last 16 and it was a good match and a good one to win. Onto the quarters vs Raneem which moved to the glass court in the shopping mall. Tough match and all credit to Raneem she played really well and was the better player on the day. If I had won the first game then that might have changed things slightly
but it was good to play her as she has had a good year and isn’t number two in the world for no reason! I Learnt a lot from that match and even though it was hard to loose I have definitely come home with some clear things to work on and this can only make me a better player in the end!
Have Had a good weeks training at home since been back and off to America on Saturday.
First stop Brooklyn heights for a gold event followed by the US open in Philadelphia which is a World Series tournament. I love America and am really looking forward to both tournaments. I’m qualifying in both as the draws went on last month’s ranking which I was ranked 15! Hopefully these will be my last events having to qualify. My ranking as from the 1st September was 9 so that means now I go straight into the main draws!
America here we come!!!
