Australian Open (11th-19th August)

Had a good weeks training in Melbourne at Sarah Fitzgerald place and there were quite a few of the other players there so it was a good base and warm up before Canberra and the Australian Open.

First round I beat Delia Arnold 3-0 and that was a good solid start to the tournament! In the last 16 I played Annie Au who I had lost to in the British open so I wanted to get my revenge! Which I did! I won 3-0 and I was really pleased with that result!

Last night I lost a tight match yesterday in the quarter finals vs Nicol David. Played well and had my chances, if I had won the 4th game than anything could have happened! Overall pleased but at the same time annoying as well as I was definitely in there!

Good to build on for next time though and have taken things away with me to work on!

No time to dwell on that as I go to New Zealand Monday for the next event starting next Thursday in Mata Mata! Really looking forward to it as it will be my first time there!!

Ali xx
